First Ray Films is a dynamic and rapidly emerging film production house in the Hindi Entertainment Industry. We specialize in high-concept feature films and short films, aiming to bridge the gap between aesthetic storytelling and commercial releases.
Founded by Anshuman Jha, First Ray Films is committed to delivering compelling narratives. We have successfully produced India’s first social media thriller, "mona_darling" (Amazon Prime Video), India’s first mainstream LGBTQ+ narrative on friendship titled, "Hum Bhi Akele, Tum Bhi Akele" (Disney+Hotstar). Our most recent release ‘Lakadbaggha’ (Hyena) - released in theatres on January 13th 2023 - is the world’s first animal-lover vigilante film and now a universe with a sequel in the pipeline. With a strong emphasis on script development, efficient pre-production, and well-researched market release plans, we collaborate with the finest talent pool in the Indian entertainment landscape.
